Catering Policy
General Information: Our printed menus are for general reference. Your catering manager will be glad to propose customized menus to meet your specific needs. Captain Daniel Stone Inn accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, personal checks, bank checks and cash. However personal checks are not accepted within 7 days of the event.
Catering Pricing: Food and Beverage charges are subject to 20% gratuity and 7% Maine State Sales Tax. In the event that the minimum guest count is not met, a $75.00 service fee will be charged to your final bill. All buffets are based on one (1) hour of service. For larger groups, buffet service will be based on one and one half (11⁄2) hours of service.
Guarantees: In order to make your event a success, please notify your catering manager of the guaranteed number of guests attending each function at least four (4) business days in advance. Guarantees are not subject to reduction within the four (4) business day period. If no guarantee is received at the appropriate time, the expected number will become your guarantee and charges will be billed accordingly.
Wedding Cakes: All wedding cakes must be provided from a licensed Bakery and a cake waiver form must be signed.
Liquor: The Captain Daniel Stone Inn is able to provide various bar options from which to choose. A selection of fine wines is also available to complete your dinner. You may have an open bar, cash bar or a mix. A $75.00 fee per bartender will be charged. We can also add a festive Martini bar or a Champagne bar, custom designed for your event.
